The Nephites believed in the Father and worshiped him in Christ’s name as did their forefathers (and we do today). The Nephites kept the law of Moses as it pointed their souls towards Christ and it was accounted to them for righeousness. This relates to Abraham’s obedience to God’s commandments in the wilderness to offer up his son Isaac, which was intended as a similitude to God and his only begotten son. These are all meant to point us to Father and his Son, and our Savior’s sacrifice in our behalf.
