(Mosiah) Alma had the faith to stand up to King Noah and the other priests. Then after preaching the words of Abinadi he was able to establish the Church of Christ. Abinadi also showed great faith in not denying his testimony and was killed for it but without knowing converted Alma. (Nephi) Nephi was talking to his brothers to trust in God and he will guide them in what needs to be done.
