As the children of Israel journeyed through the wilderness, they repeatedly struggled with murmuring, fear, and forgetting the Lord despite clear evidence of His power and care. These Book of Mormon passages echo that same pattern and teach that faith must come before miracles, trust is required even when outcomes are uncertain, and discouragement can become strength through reliance on God. Together, they remind us that wilderness experiences are meant to refine faith, cultivate humility, and help us learn to trust the Lord fully as we move toward His promised blessings.
